I never cared why "Mr. X" would have kidnapped Thomas's girlfriend- that's just what happened to chicks in the '80s- but all these years I've wondered how he compelled the kung fu master to walk impotently in place just yards away from rescuing her.

Finally, I think I've figured it out.

Haiku for innocence lost

Kids grow up fast, too fast, in this sick scary world. Doomeru and I were no exception. We had our share of horrors, betrayals, and disappointments; monsters lurking in the bedroom. But no matter how hot the heat, imminent the defeat, how raucous the calls for blood, he was always the king to me.
