There is so much wrong in the world that it’s easy to lose sight of why you spend each day struggling to put your little piece of it right, and people do each other so dirty that it’s hard to remember we’re all wallowing in the same shit. Though the smallest war touches more than all it’s combatants, the longest is still nothing but a series of battles. Mourn every loss, they hurt worse than wounds, but take time to recognize the victories as well. You never know how long you’ll have to go before another one comes along, and you can’t know how far you’ve come without looking back.
